This candle was inspired by the outlaws of the old west and the lawmen who pursued them. I can remember watching old westerns with my grandpa as a kid, movies like, "True Grit," "A Fistful of Dollars," and of course "The Outlaw Josey Wales."
Honestly, I had no appreciation for the films I was watching, I just remember wanting to see Rooster Cogburn roast that sunnuvabitch Ned Pepper. (No kidding, I had a life-size Rooster Cogburn cardboard cutout in my bedroom for years.)
When I got a little older, I fell in love with Tombstone, and not for the infamous "I'm your Huckleberry," line. I was enamored by the line that followed, "Why Johnny Ringo, you like somebody just walked over your grave." With Val Kilmer's southern drawl, that line was ice cold.
So all of these things sort of added up to my fascination with both the cops and the robbers of yesteryear. For our very first stab at a masculine line, the outlaw theme was a no brainer.
